CMRS UK 2011

Given the increasing number of scholars taking up further educational opportunities at UK universities, a UK CMRS branch has recently been set up to keep people connected and engaged. The first gathering of UK-based scholars happened in Oxford at the beginning of 2011. A group of six scholars met for a dinner and then went on to attend a social event at Rhodes House.

Our planned activities as a branch of the CMRS are twofold; firstly to meet up as regularly as possible while based in the UK and secondly to provide advice and support to any scholars looking to pursue studies at UK universities.

Other plans are to encourage UK-based scholar participation in the annual CMRS conference via video conferencing over the internet.
